The scanner’s starting table of collectable-minifigure bag codes comes from this project, used under its licence and corroborated against two further independent datasets. What our own users scan is recorded separately and is never merged into it. https://github.com/le0pard/lego-scanner
Photographs
Photographs of your own collection are yours. BrickDb hosts no product renders, box art or instruction booklets — where such an image is shown, it is loaded from the source that licenses it, never copied into our storage.
Typefaces
Both typefaces are served from our own server rather than a font CDN, so opening a page contacts no third party.
- Outfit — SIL Open Font License 1.1, Outfitio/Outfit-Fonts
- Inter — SIL Open Font License 1.1, rsms/inter
Machine-learning models
Reading the set number off a photographed box uses pre-trained text-recognition models that ship inside BrickDb rather than being downloaded or called over the network. They run on our own servers, on the processor, and send nothing anywhere. Each is redistributed under its own licence:
- PP-OCRv3 mobile text detection (ONNX) (
det.onnx) — Apache-2.0. Published by monkt/paddleocr-onnx. Derived from PaddleOCR. - PP-OCRv5 mobile English text recognition (ONNX) (
rec.onnx) — Apache-2.0. Published by monkt/paddleocr-onnx. Derived from PaddleOCR. - PP-OCRv5 English character dictionary (
dict.txt) — Apache-2.0. Published by monkt/paddleocr-onnx. Derived from PaddleOCR.
