The thirteen-digit product number under the barcode on goods sold in Europe.

EAN stands for “European Article Number”. The usual form, EAN-13, has thirteen digits and is printed under the barcode on a set box. It is one kind of GTIN. If the camera cannot read the bars, you can type the digits into BrickDb's set-box scanner.
